If you have selected a runway for landing, additional quickselect menu items will be available. 


Fly SID from ...

Shows a list of all available SID's from the airport of which the runway is selected

Fly GPS autolanding at ...

Branches into a sub menu, in which the following landing options can be selected: Ultrashort, short, normal, straight and steep auto landing. Find more details about GPS landings in "Advanced usage". Selecting one of those will immediately start the auto landing routine. Lights, flaps, gear and speeds will be set. The procedure will end if you (a) wait until auto landing is complete or (b) if you select a missed approach on final or (c) if you press the CTRL + Space key or select the "Fly curr. ALT, SPD, HDG menu item  

Fly touchandgo at ...

Branches into a sub menu, in which the following options can be selected: Ultrashort, short, normal, straight and steep auto landing. Find more details in "Advanced usage". Selecting one of those will immediately start the touch and go routine. Lights, flaps, gear and speeds will be set. The procedure will fly touch and go's until fuel is empty or  (b)  if you press the CTRL + Space key or select the "Fly curr. ALT, SPD, HDG menu item  

Fly ILS autolanding

 .... is displayed if the runway has ILS facilities. Select this item and fly a complete ILS landing procedure. Find more details in "Advanced usage". Lights, flaps, gear and speeds will be set. The procedure will end if you (a) wait until ILS auto landing is complete or (b) if you select a missed approach on final or (c) if you press the CTRL + Space key or select the "Fly curr. ALT, SPD, HDG menu item  

Fly ILS approach

... is displayed if the runway has ILS capabilities. Selecting this item will fly an ILS approach only.  Find more details in "Advanced usage".  

Take me to finals ...

Flies the selected GPS approach, but hands over the control to the pilot "on final" for manual landing. 



It is the responsibility of the pilot to fly at a correct altitude before using the auto landing routines. In general, we recommend to select auto landing routines


  • approximately 50 nm from destination runway
  • Jets: approximately 5000 - 10000 ft above the ground altitude of the destination runway
  • Single prop: approximately 2000 - 4000 ft above the ground altitude of the destination runway
